Water Sense

Every year, millions of dollars are spent installing toilets that are designed to flush on 1.6 gallons of water or less. However, many of these high-efficiency toilets have been retrofitted with repair parts that cause them to use more water than they are designed to use. Fifty-five percent of the 300 million tank toilets in the US have been upgraded to a toilet that uses 1.6 gallons or less per flush, but independent research has shown that the majority of these toilets use 2 gallons per flush or more due to incorrect adjustments.

Throughout the US, savings from toilet rebate programs are disappearing. Don’t let this happen to you! With the T5 Flushmeter, measuring flush volumes is easy and accurate! There is nothing to connect or disconnect. Measuring and verifying the water savings from your conservation program has never been easier.

Here’s how it works: Place the T5 Flushmeter turbine in the trap of the toilet and flush. The T5 Flushmeter will measure and digitally display the flush volume in either gallons or liters. The T5 Flushmeter will help you save water and improve toilet performance.

In addition to measuring toilet flow, we have flow bags available. For determining flow rates for showers and faucets you can use a standardized 5 second metered flow bag. The flow bag is calibrated in ½ gallon increments. The bag shows the flow rate of the fixture in either gallons per minute or liters per minute.

The T5 Flushmeter is only available as part of Water Management's WOLF (Water Optimization and Low Flow) Program. The cost of the T5 for those that qualify is $1,250 plus shipping and tax.
